Thanks for the bunny pattern info - they will make great gifts for some of my friends.

Clutter is so frustrating! One of my projects for the next 2 months is to make an organizer for my straight needles based on the one I have for my dpns. Very tidy and maybe I'll stop losing some. Right now I'm in the middle of a project that I can't continue because one of the needles disappeared into the clutter!

Yeah, I made this kind of comment to my husband last night...things get jumbled at home and I can't focus on finding the knitting needles cuz I have too many of them and then I can't find the book I'm reading cuz I am actually reading four books. The solution for me has always been to organize and delcutter my surroundings and then I can focus.

The bunny pattern I use is one I adapted from fuzzymittendotcom.

Hi Willow -

Put some of that roving in the club too - this idea works for more than just knitting. It's for any kind of craft! I totally stole the idea from Yarn Harlot - she's amazing, but you'd have to be organized to accomplish as much as she does.

I'm going to get all my "club" projects together this weekend and post as I complete them. I usually only knit for myself, and no one I know has or is likely to have babies, so it makes it a little easier to plan.

We track our expenses every once in a while to give ourselves a check up. Maybe I'll do this toward the end of February. We have a couple of trips in the first half of the month that will skew the normal expenditures.

Hey, I'm a knitter too! Like you, I seriously need to knit down my stash. I like your idea of a personal knitting club project. Unfortunately, I'm also a spinner and I have unspun fiber (oh yes, texture and color get me!) too.

When I tried the yarn purchase moratorium a couple of years ago, it did help. But sometimes I have special gifts to make that require buying yarn. Because babies and new mamas don't like wool sweaters, I buy washable and dryable yarn for baby shower items.

I'll check back to see how you're doing on your knit down.
